We have even more specs revealed for the Samsung galaxy z fold 3 and will be sharing the details. So this week we've got news on the galaxy z fold 3 display incredible new cameras and more news on the new folding design before we get started though please like the video if you're a fan of Samsung let me know in the comments what device you're watching today's video on but the first story of the day is about the display on the Samsung galaxy z fold 3.
We had a tweet from leeco cosi plains that details the display sizes along with the increased thickness of the utg or ultra thin glass cozy plains advises that the internal display when unfolded on the galaxy z fold 3 is going to be a 7 inch display he says it will be an ftpo panel which means a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120 hertz and this will of course save on battery and the new ultra thin glass to protect the display is going to be 60 to 100 micrometers thick the increased utg thickness makes sense considering we're hearing so many reports of the s pen support cozy plains also states on his tweet that the external display on the samsung galaxy z fold 3 is going to be a 4 inch display now there's not really any evidence to back these claims up unfortunately and i don't see samsung making the display smaller so take it with a grain of salt for now phone arena also published some information-
That differs entirely they state that the galaxy z fold 3 is going to have a screen no bigger than 8 inches but it's likely to remain at 7.6 with a 4.5 inch external display they do however also report on a 120 hertz ltpo panel that will have s pen support next up we've got many rumors of an improved camera system thanks to a tweet from ice universe he tweeted to say that Samsung really is doing a whopping 600 megapixel sensor and the sensor is going to increase due to 4k and 8k video trends he reports that is l will evolve to solve the issue of the camera bump so great news and it's always good to see new development in mobile photography but this is still early news to be clear we just don't know how far along they are with this so we don't know if it's going to be included in the galaxy z fold 3 if it's at the very early stages then it just won't be ready in time next up we've got more news of a tri-folding galaxy z fold 3 although this does go with the z-fold name i think it's going to be a separate device if it happens let's go digital uncovered this pattern that falls in line with the image we previously had from Samsung now while this phone looks great i personally think it's either going to be a new range or a z-fold way further in the future the galaxy z fold 3 is likely to stay a similar design to its predecessor given the success it's already had there's more news uncovers on this new device though will update you as always so my advice would be to ignore anyone that says that the Samsung galaxy z fold 3 is drastically changing as many are just going by some of these leaks Samsung have found many patents for many different concepts but it doesn't always mean it's going to make it to the consumers the launch however is expected to be in august and we do have an idea of some of the specs we're going to get in the z fold 3 so we're going to run through all of them now for those that are interested for my regular viewers you guys would have already seen this.
So just jump to the next video but if you are new here then hit subscribe now and we'll get right into it the inner display is likely to remain a similar size considering we've already got trimmed down bezels we can expect a 7.6 inch dynamic amoled display with a resolution of 1768 by 2208 and this will have a 120 hertz refresh rate the front screen is likely to remain the same as well which is a 6.2 inch super amoled with a resolution of 2260x816 the biggest change here is of course can be the screen protection with 60 micrometer ultra thin glass that not only helps with the durability but should also provide a nicer touch experience for the user when it comes to the selfie camera we've got no information yet many reports and rumors are hinting at the first in-display selfie camera but we've got no idea what sensor or lens Samsung are using for this on the rear it's likely to be a triple or a quad camera setup now Samsung tend to keep things similar across their range so i would expect the new camera module that we're seeing in the s range to be present and it's likely that they'll be using the similar 12 megapixel sensors instead of going with the 108 megapixel hm2 when it comes to ram and storage Samsung tend to push things high with the fold models so i would estimate the galaxy z fold 3 to have 16 gigs of ddr5 ram this will be coupled with 128 256 or 512 storage it's most likely going to be powered by the snapdragon 875 plus and the exynos equivalent whatever they decide to name it and there are rumors of a 5 000 milliamp hour battery but -
personally i don't see that happening they're likely to remain at a similar size so with improvements of space internally in new tech i would estimate a minor increase so maybe something like 4 600 milliamp hours it will of course ship with one ui 3 based on android 11 and being so early on color variants just cannot be confirmed it will probably have as much water protection as they can but we're unlikely to see any official ip ratings due to its difficult to waterproof design we're expecting an august launch and if things carry on as normal when it comes to the pricing we of course know it's gonna be a lot so we can expect between two thousand and two thousand one hundred dollars if we see the usual price increment now of course a lot of this is just sensible estimates on top of the leaks we have because we're so far away from launch but i'll be keeping you guys up to date as any new news comes in as always though i would like to know your thoughts in the comments who out there is excited for the samsung galaxy z fold 3 and what do you think of this new camera bump.
