the google pixel 5 is a true game changer in the smartphone industry . So we've had a huge amount of information for the google pixel 5 and   a lot of it came from google themselves we now know the pixel 5 exists we know   its specs and even its release date as google accidentally shared this   the pixel 5 is a game changer for many reasons which we're gonna cover now   before we get started though please like the video if you're a fan of google   phones let me know in the comments what device you're watching this video on   but first of all let's clear some things up google have completely   changed the way they're doing things now when it comes to the pixel 5 it's   for the better there were early leaks from john prosser on its design but my   source is advised that this was an early prototype and it's definitely not going   to happen while we were expecting the google pixel 5 and the pixel 5 xl that's   also not happening either the pixel 5 is going to be a large smartphone and   for those who want the smaller you have the pixel 4 or the pixel 4a this time   around the pixel 5 is only coming in one version and that will be a large one   well they used to sell.

Their phones is premium flagships they're now making   them cheaper to purchase by going with less powerful chipsets but   they're still giving us the incredible photography that we expect from a pixel.   google tweeted me a few days ago and asked me to check out their link   where they're advertising the pixel 5 as well as its predecessor 5g variant   but that page doesn't give too much away this was however given away   accidentally by google france who confirmed that the pixel 5 is going   to be launching on the 8th of october this year well they didn't directly say   it and the page has since been removed i've got a copy of it here and they   advertise that pre-orders of the pixel 5 are going to start on the 8th of october   and that's generally straight after the launch event when it comes to how big   the pixel 5 is going to be we've had this confirmed by ross young he says   the displays can be manufactured by samsung as well as boe and we're going   to get a 6.7 inch display he then adds that the pixel 5 will be a 120 hertz   display now ross is the lead analyst of display search and he already gave us   some incredibly accurate fold two leaks very early on so he has proven himself   with his credibility as i said they're going to be focusing on cameras over   cpu and gpu performance when it comes to the pixel 5 and for the chipset they've   chosen the snapdragon 765g now it's a capable chipset that will do the tasks   you need to and it also won't break the bank the exact cameras are unknown at   this point but we're expecting a dual camera setup on the google pixel 5   and they will be an upgrade from the 4 and the 4a which are already incredible   cameras it's expected to come with 6 gigabytes of ram and 128 gig storage   and it will of course provide unlimited google photos at the high detail quality   the reduction in chipset is going to allow them to deliver a much cheaper   device and analysts are estimating a launch price of around 650 dollars for   the google pixel 5. this is finally a game changer from google as currently   people look to spend around a thousand dollars at least for the latest offering   from samsung huawei or apple with the flagship quality cameras now google   are aiming at this much cheaper route it allows people to buy the google pixel 5   who need good photography and not a phone for things like gaming nine   to five google also gained access to an internal android document which confirms   google are already working on the pixel 5a and the pixel 6 so it would seem like   a new launch cycle and strategy have been established they're focusing on the   lower and upper mid-range market leaving the flagships alone of course not   everyone wants a large phone and if the pixel 5 is going to be too large for you   then i would recommend the pixel 4a which was launched just a few days ago   i've already provided a hands-on review for the pixel 4a so we'll   just take a look at that now for those of you that are interested on the pixel   4a we've got a 5.81 inch full screen display with this punch hole selfie   camera in the top left it's a full hd plus oled display with a resolution of   2340x1080 it's got a 24 bit color depth hdr support and a 19 and a half by 9   aspect ratio giving us 443 pixels per inch we've got a nice thin symmetrical   bezel all the way around the phone which i really like and i much prefer it over   its premium counterpart but it is worth noting that the chin is ever so slightly   larger than the forehead but it is barely noticeable the selfie camera   in the top left is an 8 megapixel sensor with an aperture of f 2.0 .

It's a 1.12 micrometer sensor with fixed focus and an 84 degree field of view it   takes 1080p photos and allows for 1080p at 30 frames a second if you're taking a   video there's no in-display fingerprint scanner on the device and that's because   on the back we have the return of the physical fingerprint scanner and for me   it's a very welcome return the pixel 4a xl has been one of my favorite devices   so far but i wasn't a fan of the solid radar or its face unlock only   you can see they've stuck with the square camera module on the back   which is an odd choice considering we only have one camera but it is still   a small module and it doesn't protrude much from the case   the camera appears to be the same camera as the pixel 4 primary camera   and that's a 12.2 megapixel camera with an aperture of f 1.7 and a 77 degree   field of view it's got a 1.4 micrometer sensor and it's got a dual pixel   phase detect autofocus as well as optical and electronic stabilization   it's capable of 4k at 30 frames a second 1080p at 3060 or 120 and 720p   at 30 60 or 240 frames as well as this we also have the led flash   now on top is something that's going to please a lot of you out there and that's   the return of the three and a half mil headphone jack as well as a secondary   mic on the right hand side of the device we've got the accent power button as   well as a volume rocker on the bottom it's just a usb c port the primary mic   and of course the speaker grilles on the left side it's only got the sim   card holder and there's no dual sim support here so unfortunately it's   just a single nano sim card although it does also support esim now when it   comes to the hardware running the google pixel 4a we've got the snapdragon 730g   which isn't a flagship chipset but it's still very capable nonetheless   even when it comes to the more demanding gaming it does fairly well we're gonna   cover it in more depth shortly we get six gigs of ddr4 ram and that's coupled   with 128 gig storage but of course being a pixel it offers unlimited google   photos at high picture quality for those that may be worried about space it's all   powered by a 3 140 milliamp hour battery with 18 watt fast charge and i found it   to easily last a day and it of course comes with android 10.

So overall the pixel 4a is a decent choice for those who want a cheap   all-round phone but one that also takes decent photos so that's it for the pixel   4a it's a great time to be a pixel fan as whatever your needs there's a pixel   to suit but that's all the information i've got for you guys today and if   anything comes to light i'll be sharing it with you guys straight away as always   though i'd like to know your thoughts in the comments who out there is waiting   for the google pixel 5 and have any of you picked up the google pixel 4a   but thanks for watching the video if you liked it smash the thumbs up   if you didn't hit the thumbs down twice and i'll see you guys in the next one   you
